Shift Knob Install Guide - Toyota GR86

Parts Included:

  • 1x Acetal Knob Body, black
  • 1x Knob Cap
  • 1x Stainless Steel Core
  • 6x Screws

Tools Required:

  • 5/64" Hex Wrench (included)

Procedure

    1) Assemble the shift knob. Lay out the components before you and slip the black acetal knob body over the stainless steel core piece, being mindful to line up the hole patterns.

    2) Set the shift knob cap into the top recess of the knob body, again lining up the hole pattern.

    3) Use the included 5/64" hex key to install and tighten the six (6) screws in a star pattern. A cordless screwdriver on a low torque setting will make quick work of this step. Do not over torque these screws as you can snap the heads off if you're not careful.

    4) Take the now assembled CravenSpeed shift knob to your GR86 and remove the OEM knob. Nothing complicated to this process. Just spin it off, lefty-loosey.

    5) Replace with the CravenSpeed shift knob. Righty-tighty. If the shift pattern isn't perfectly lined up and you have the knob tightened to your liking, just remove the six screws, line up the pattern better and reinstall/tighten the screws.
